Our client in Lafayette, California reached out to us needing an attic and crawlspace inspection. During our initial inspection, we found that the attic insulation needed to be replaced. And the crawlspace needed to be cleaned. Our technician advised our client to install new attic insulation. One of the benefits of new insulation for our clients is to feel more comfortable in their home. We also recommended installing a vapor barrier in the crawlspace. This will help to prevent moisture related issues in the crawlspace. Due to the large home, it took more than one service visit in order to complete our work. This was also done to ensure quality service is performed each day. 

Our team started our services by first removing the existing insulation from the attic. They then cleaned out the attic and crawlspace surface areas to remove any lingering odors. Afterward, we sealed all of the gaps to prevent heat and cold leaks. We then performed rodent proofing in the attic and crawlspace. This process involved sealing holes and gaps we found. This step is important to prevent future rodent activity. Our team then installed new crawlspace R-38 Owen’s Corning batts insulation per California building code. Finally, we finished our services in the crawlspace by installing a new vapor barrier.
