Our technicians discovered no insulation in this attic. We needed to help our client regulate their indoor temperature and comply with Title 24 California building standards. The regional climate helps determine what R-value of insulation is necessary. We selected blown-in insulation for easy installation within tight spaces.
Following local hazardous materials guidelines, our workers lined the entryway to the attic with reinforced plastic coverings, protecting the home during the project. Our crew vacuumed up any dirt and debris and used a natural sanitizer to kill lingering bacteria. Next, we rodent-proofed the area by covering and blocking small openings.
After performing air sealing to prevent drafts, we completed the job with brand new Owens Corning blown-in insulation.
