Even with a finished attic, eaves within your attic space still need to be properly insulated to keep your home warm in the winter and cool in the summer. This home did have eaves but it was lacking sufficient insulation. It had lost its R value and was falling off of the rafters. There was also signs of rodent activity. To help out this home, we first needed to remove all of the old insulation. Next, we vacuumed any rodent droppings and leftover debris. Once the space was clear we were able to identify and seal off any potential entry points through our rodent proofing process to help prevent future infestation. Finally, we air sealed the eaves and installed new faced batt insulation. Now these eaves are ready for the changing weather!
