Rodents in the attic can cause serious problems for your home. They can rip up insulation, reducing the R value and raising your energy bills. They can chew on electrical wires in the attic that can cause house fires. They can even chew through air ducts, posing a health risk to your family. The first step in making your attic rodent free is to rodent proof by sealing off any potential entry points. In order to do this properly, we got right to work by removing all of the contaminated insulation. This allows us to see holes that may have not been visible with the insulation present. Next, we vacuumed and sanitized the attic floor. This will help get rid of any harmful bacteria. We then rodent proofed the attic to help prevent a future infestation. Finally, air sealing was done right before we installed new fiberglass batt insulation. This family can rest easier knowing their attic is clean and rodent free!
