Warmer weather is on the horizon and with it is higher energy bills to run your AC. If your attic has inadequate insulation, you’ll end up running your AC all day and night in a fight to keep your home at an even temperature. This is why it is important to check your attic to make sure you’re ready for the summer months. This attic had spots of missing insulation and the insulation that was there had lost its R value. To help this home, we had to remove all of the existing insulation. We then vacuumed and sanitized the attic floor. Next, air sealing was done to help prevent energy leakage. This will help keep cool air from going into the attic. Rodent proofing was done after to help prevent future rodent infestations. Finally, we installed new batt insulation. Now this attic is ready for the summer!
