One of the benefits of new insulation for our clients is to save money on their energy bills. We began our work by cleaning the surface areas of the attic. This step allows us to remove any lingering odors in the attic. Then we performed rodent proofing in the attic and exterior of the home This process involved sealing holes and gaps we found to prevent future costly damages to the home. We then moved on to installing R-38 Owen’s Corning batts insulation per California building code.
Our next area of work was the crawlspace. A crawl space without a vapor barrier installed is considered unfinished and can lead to problems. First, we cleaned up and sanitized the crawlspace area, so it can kill bacterias and get rid of foul smells. We also provided rodent proofing services for the crawlspace and the exterior. Finally, we installed the vapor barrier on the floor, this will ensure a dry and pest free crawlspace.
