Is you AC working overtime this summer? Insulation loses R value over time, making your AC work harder and raising your energy bills. This attic had old insulation that was no longer effective. To help lower the energy bills, we needed to replace the insulation that was there. We went right to work by bagging all of the existing insulation in our heavy duty construction bags. Once the insulation was safely removed, we vacuumed what was left and sanitized the attic floor. Air sealing was done next to prevent energy leakages. This will also help keep the home a more even temperature. We then rodent proofed the attic to keep out any unwanted pests. Finally, we finished everything by installing new faced fiberglass batt insulation to ensure maximum energy efficiency.
