Our client asked for replacement insulation. R-30 batt insulation was a great choice that exceeded Title 24 California Building Standards and met ENERGY STAR recommendations for the regional climate.

Our 22 HP vacuum took care of the existing insulation and debris within the attic. Cleaning rodent droppings through heavy-duty tubing is essential to avoid contact with potential pathogens and pollution of the air. We followed LA’s health and safety codes regarding hazardous materials and transported the contents out in sealed bags. The client’s home was also protected with reinforced plastic coverings.

Next, we sanitized the attic floor to eliminate any lingering contaminants and smells, and then air sealed to prevent leaks. Rodent-proofing involved patching any holes with wire mesh. Finally, we added Owens Corning R-30 batts insulation to make the home more energy-efficient.
