Does your attic have a history of squirrels? Squirrels can rip up your existing insulation, decreasing your R value and raising your energy bills. Upon inspection, we found that the insulation was being used for nests. To help this customer, we started off by taking out all of the torn insulation. Doing this allowed us to find any entry points the squirrels were coming in from and seal them off using our rodent proofing process. This will help prevent future infestations. Rodent droppings and urine leave behind a scent that tends to attract other rodents. To get rid of this scent, we sanitized the attic floor. Next, we air sealed any energy leaking gaps and finally finished by installing new batt insulation.
