We performed an attic inspection for this client. Professional attic inspections identify potential problems with insulation, leaks, pest infestation or ventilation before they cause significant damage or loss of energy. We also check for vulnerabilities and deterioration of the structure, including any signs of moisture or mold.

Through an inspection, we discovered that the existing insulation was not up to code. We needed to bring the thermal resistance levels up to California’s Title 24 building guidelines. We decided that achieving an R-value of 38 with blown-in insulation would be the most cost-effective solution.

Following health codes in Petaluma, our crew installed plastic shielding to stop floating particles from entering the client’s living space. We added new blown-in insulation on top of the existing material. The result was an R-value of 38 and better temperature control throughout the home.
