Are you suffering from allergies inside your own home? Your crawlspace could be contributing to your allergy symptoms. This customer had called knowing that cleaning his crawlspace may help with his allergy problems. Our technician found not only significant dust but rodent activity. It appeared that rodents had torn down and contaminated the insulation. We knew we needed to remove everything to help with our customer’s concern. We got right to work by bagging all of the contaminated insulation and vacuuming all the rodent droppings. Next, we cleaned and sanitized the crawlspace to get rid of any harmful bacteria. Using expanding foam, we air sealed any gaps on the crawlspace ceiling. Rodent proofing was done to prevent future infestation. Finally, we wrapped up this project by installing new fiberglass batt insulation, R38 to ensure maximum energy efficiency.
