We always start our services by firstly covering up the home with plastic to protect it from our work. Our crews also always wear booties on their shoes to prevent any dust and debris to enter the home. We work really hard to make sure our services are done as cleanly and smoothly as possible. The crew began the services in the attic once the plastic sheeting was all set up. We removed the existing and decompressed insulation from the attic and crawlspace using a 19 HP vacuum and removal tubes. We then cleaned the surface areas of the attic and crawlspace. This step allows us to remove any lingering odors in the attic as well as the crawlspace. Then we performed rodent proofing in the attic, crawlspace, and sub-floor with access. This process involved sealing holes and gaps we found to prevent future costly damages to the home. We then moved on to installing R-49 Owen’s Corning batts insulation in the attic and subfloor. We also installed R-30 Owen’s Corning batts insulation per California building code, in the crawlspace. Finally, we finished our remaining services by installing a vapor barrier in the crawlspace.
