The existing insulation needed to be removed and replaced. Since the crawlspace was likely to get flooded again, it can develop a noticeable and distracting odor. We started our work by removing the existing insulation from the crawlspace using a 19 HP vacuum and removal tubes. We then began our next step by cleaning the crawlspace. Afterward, we sealed all of the gaps to prevent heat and cold leaks. We then performed rodent proofing in the crawlspace. This process involved sealing holes and gaps we found. This step is important to prevent future rodent activity. Afterward, we installed R-38 Batts insulation in the crawlspace. We finished our work by installing a vapor barrier. One of the benefits of new insulation will help our client save money on their energy bills. And the vapor barrier we installed will help our clients be more comfortable in their home.
