Having a properly insulated attic and crawlspace is how homeowners reduce their energy bills and live comfortably inside their home. Over time, insulation loses its R value which is exactly what happened in this home. The insulation needed an upgrade so to begin, we started off by removing all of the old insulation. Next, we vacuumed both the attic and crawlspace to get rid of any debris. Sanitation was done after to get rid of odor and bacteria. Once both areas were clear, we rodent proofed the home to prevent future rodents from entering. After this was done, we air sealed the attic and crawlspace to prevent energy from leaking. Finally, we finished off by installing faced fiberglass batt insulation.
