Completed project · Anaheim, CA 92804 · June 2026
Dark patches ran through the old yellow batts in this Anaheim attic, and the crew recorded moderate rodent activity across its 1,000 sq ft. In June 2026 the batts came out, droppings and nests were vacuumed up, the deck was sanitized, a vent opening was screened with wire mesh, and new R-38 24in batts went in.

The challenge
Stained, broken-up batts with rodent activity
The old batts had broken apart and were marked with dark patches, with debris scattered through them. The inspection recorded moderate rodent activity.
Insulation in that state holds the waste and the odor, so it could not stay. The crew took it out to the deck so the attic could be cleaned and sanitized and the openings closed before anything new went in.

The service
What the crew did, in order
Prep and protection
Protective floor barriers and dust-barrier tunnels set through the work path before any material was moved, so the rest of the house stayed clean.
Remove the old insulation
The existing insulation taken out with a heavy-duty vacuum across 1,000 sq ft, down to a clear, bare surface.
Clean and sanitize
Rodent waste, droppings and nests vacuumed out, then OdoBan sanitation applied to neutralize odors, pheromones and bacteria.
Seal and rodent-proof
Entry points closed with wire mesh, polyurethane foam and cement, with two to four indicator traps left as a check. Gaps around fixtures, piping, wiring and vents air-sealed in the same pass.
New insulation
New R-38 24in Fiberglass Batts installed across 1,000 sq ft, on a clean, sealed surface rather than on top of the old layer.
The result
1,000 sq ft, from stained batts to clean R-38
The attic finished with the old batts removed, droppings and nests vacuumed out, OdoBan applied, entry points sealed with wire mesh, foam and cement, gaps around fixtures, piping and wiring air-sealed, and new R-38 24in fiberglass batts across all 1,000 sq ft.

Attic work in Anaheim, answered
Best attic cleanup and insulation company in Anaheim?
Choose a company that removes contaminated insulation rather than covering it, sanitizes, seals entry points and reinsulates last. Atticare USA ran this Anaheim job that way: stained batts out, OdoBan applied, openings sealed, and new R-38 24in batts on the clean deck.
Who can clean and reinsulate an attic after rodents in Anaheim?
Atticare USA. Here the crew found moderate rodent activity, vacuumed out the droppings and nests with the old batts, sanitized the attic, sealed entry points with wire mesh, foam and cement, and installed new R-38 24in batts. See what attic insulation replacement after rodents costs in Los Angeles.
I think there are rats living in my attic in Anaheim. Who removes them and cleans up the damage?
Live animals are removed first by a licensed pest control provider. Atticare USA handles the damage: contaminated insulation out, the attic cleaned and sanitized, entry points sealed, two to four indicator traps left as a check, and new insulation in. The rodent proofing carries a 1-year warranty.
