Old loose-fill with debris, and torn duct runs
The inspection photos show old white loose-fill spread across the attic floor, with dark debris in it in places. Several of the flexible duct runs had holes torn in their outer jackets, with the insulation inside pushing through.
The scope covered the attic floor, 60 sq ft of walls and the air ducts, so the whole space had to be cleared first. That gave the crew a clean deck to sanitize and seal before the new insulation went in last.

Air duct replacement
Air ducts removed and replaced to code, matching the existing diameters.
New insulation
New R-38 16in Fiberglass Batts in the attic and R-19 16in in the walls installed, on a clean, sealed surface rather than on top of the old layer.
The result
1,024 sq ft of attic and 60 sq ft of walls, rebuilt

Air ducts were removed and replaced to code, matching the existing diameters, and new R-38 16in fiberglass batts went in across the attic, with R-19 16in batts in the walls.
