Do you have a finished attic? Even if your attic has been turned into a finished space, it is still important to have proper insulation. When attics are finished, eaves are generally left behind. Just like a traditional attic, eaves can become homes to unwanted rodents and with all of your storage items in place, it’s a perfect place to start nests. This customer did have a rodent issue in their eaves. First, we had to remove all of the storage items. They were brought downstairs and put to the side for safe keeping. Next, we removed all of the old insulation. It had been torn and was contaminated with droppings. Vacuuming and sanitation was done next to get rid of bacteria and odor. After, we rodent proofed the attic to prevent future infestation. Finally, we installed new fiberglass batt insulation to help keep this attic warm all winter.
