Our customer in Diamond Bar called us to help replace the insulation for the home’s attic. First, our crew provided an attic cleanup by vacuuming out any existing insulation and debris. Next, the sanitization services were done as well as the air sealing. These are very important steps to eliminate bad odors, and to prevent heat and cold leaks from traveling from the living space to the attic. Then, the crew covered up any entry points in the attic with wire mesh and expandable foam. Rodent proofing services are important to prevent rodents from entering the attic and damaging the new insulation. Afterwards, the workers installed R-38 batts on the attic floors and R-19 batts insulation on the attic walls. Finally, we finished the project by installing a radiant barrier, which will reflect off sun rays and help keep the home cool.
