How often do you check your attic? Generally, it is recommended you get your attic inspected at least once a year. This can help make sure no unwanted rodents broke into your home. Also, insulation loses its R value over time. Checking the attic once a year can help you be sure your attic is still properly insulated. Upon inspection, we found that this attic was unevenly insulated with parts of the attic missing insulation and other parts having a low R value. To remedy this attic, the first thing we did was remove all of the old insulation.  Next, we vacuumed any leftover debris and sanitized then attic floor. We then air sealed any energy leaking gaps. Finally, we finished off by installing faced fiberglass insulation. With a properly insulated attic, this home can now enjoy a comfortable, even temperature all year round.
