The existing insulation in this attic was damaged and needed to be removed. We removed the existing and decompressed insulation from the attic using a 19 HP vacuum and removal tubes. After we began our next step by cleaning the attic. This was done using a 100% natural solution. We then performed rodent proofing in the attic, crawlspace, and exterior of the home. This process involved sealing holes and gaps we found in the attic. This step is important to prevent future rodent activity and costly damages. Our crew also installed a QuietCool whole house fan, a ventilation system that will replace all of the hot air. In addition to this, our client’s home will feel much more comfortable during the upcoming summer season. Our last step in the attic was installing Batts insulation accordingly to CA building code, in the attic.
After we completed our work in the attic we moved on to the crawlspace area of the home. The crawlspace had no existing insulation either. We quickly got to work to ensure our client’s crawl space is dry, clean, and well-insulated as possible. We began our services by cleaning the crawlspace surface areas. This step allows us to remove any lingering odors in the crawlspace. Afterward, we installed a new R-19 batts insulation in the crawlspace. We hope our client is enjoying their newly insulated home.
