Even if you are not using your attic space for storage or as a living area, it is still important to make sure it is properly insulated. The attic is one of the most important rooms in your house. It affects your air quality and the temperature in your home. For this attic, the insulation needed to be replaced. First, we had to clear all of the rafters. We did this by carefully removing and disposing of the old insulation. Next, we rodent proofed the attic by sealing off any potential rodent entry points. We then vacuumed and sanitized the attic to get rid of any odor or harmful bacteria. This is needed especially when there is a history of rodents. Air sealing was done after. By air sealing, you’re closing off any gaps that may leak energy, saving you money on your heating and AC bill throughout the year. Finally, we finished off by installing new faced insulation.
