Pink batts and older grey loose-fill covered the floor of this 1,200 sq ft Oakland attic. Both came out. The job was removal and exclusion only: the old insulation was vacuumed out, the full work area was sanitized with OdoBan, and every potential entry point was sealed with wire mesh, foam and cement. No new insulation was installed.
